Certificates and course documents

Every OnStudy program ends with a document confirming what you studied and that you completed it. Here is exactly what you receive, what it means, and what it does not claim to be.

Sample OnStudy Certificate of Completion

OnStudy Certificate of Completion

Finish a program and pass its final assignment, and we issue you an OnStudy Certificate of Completion. It names the program, sets out what it covered, and states the volume of study.

You receive it as a digital file you can attach to a CV, send to a client, or add to your portfolio. A printed copy is available on request.

Issued by OS Strategy Ltd. (OnStudy), a company incorporated in Alberta, Canada.

What the certificate actually tells people

📘

What you studied

The full program title, the topics covered and the number of study hours — so a reader can see the scope of the work, not just its name.

✅

That you finished it

We issue the certificate only after the final assignment is submitted and assessed. It confirms completed work, not merely enrolment.

🔍

That it is genuine

Each certificate carries a unique number. Anyone can write to us to confirm that a given certificate was really issued and to whom.

Being straight with you about what this is not

An OnStudy certificate is not a government-accredited qualification. OS Strategy Ltd. is a private education company. It is not a licensed or accredited educational institution in Canada, and our certificates are not degrees, diplomas or state qualifications of any country.

What the certificate does is document your training with us. In creative fields — art, design, art management — what opens doors is your portfolio, your work and your references. The certificate supports that record; it does not replace it.

If your goal specifically requires an accredited qualification — a regulated profession, a visa application, a university credit transfer — our programs will not meet that requirement, and we would rather tell you now than after you have paid.

Practical questions

How do I get my certificate?

Once you have worked through the program and your final assignment has been assessed, contact your curator. The digital certificate is normally issued within a few working days. Ask your curator if you would also like a printed copy.

What if I did not finish the program?

We do not issue a completion certificate for an unfinished program — that would make the document meaningless for everyone who did finish. If you completed a substantial part of it and need something for your records, write to us and we will confirm your participation and the material you covered.

Can an employer check it?

Yes. Every certificate has a unique number, and anyone can email info@onstudy.org to have it verified. We will confirm whether the certificate was issued, for which program, and to whom.

Is the certificate in English?

Certificates for programs taken in English are issued in English. If you need it in another language for a specific purpose, ask us and we will see what we can do.

Still have questions?

Write to us and we'll tell you exactly what document your program leads to.
